Julius Caesar - Shakespeare's Roman play

This notebook uses traditional heritage hand binding techniques to create a quarter binding with hand rounded spine and hand stitched pages.

The cover reuses a vintage hand marbled paper in a clasic design with a new dark blue Buckram cloth, emulating bindings from the past century.

On opening the notebook you will find, branded, red textured  endpapers with a ribbon bookmark taking you to the certificate of authentication which doubles as a place to personalise your notebook, carrying forward age old traditions of prize givings, birthdays and christmas mesages often found writen on the inside covers of old books.

Now we come to the heart of the binding, the stitched bookblock. The rounding of the spine, achieved by hammering gently along both sides hides any stitching from view and allows the book to open flat. On flicking through the pages you will discover, between the thick pale cream leaves, reused pages from an original copy of Shakespeare's Roman Plays. The whole of Julius Caesar has been salvaged from the original exhausted book and been given a fresh lease of life.
