Daily Mail Annual for Girls - Vintage Spiral Bound Journal

I love the nostalgia of vintage girls annuals and this one is above average. There were quite a few books in the Daily Mail series of annuals, some with iconic covers. The print is high quality with beautiful illustrations in typical mid century style, definitely aimed at the top of the annual gift pile! 

The colourful covers make this book irresistible, the illustrations so typical of the time. I could not leave Daily Mail for Girls to the pulping machine!

I reinvent exhausted books so we can still enjoy their fading beauty.  missing pages, fraying split spine and pages falling out are not a problem!. With a little light restoration to the hard covers, a new binding, salvaging a few stories and adding fresh cartridge paper I created a notebooks that are full of fun and nostalgia.

The print shows some signs of age related ware, I think this adds to the character and authenticity, I have detailed this where necessary in the images provided.

This notebook makes a great gift for old school friends as a memory book, sketchbook or photo album.

• Hand bound with 1 inch black continuous wires

• Inside you will find some useful envelopes for collecting memorabilia, one white, one kraft paper entitled 'Bits n Bobs'

• Integral, handmade, bookmark, with my details and an image from the book

• Thirty pages (60 sides) of plain natural, recycled natural cartridge paper 130gsm, trimmed to fit and suitable for writing, sketching and photographs, I recommend dry glue, photo corners etc

• Feature pages to the center of the notebook from the original annual that you can still enjoy whilst using the rest of the notebook for whatever you wish
